Briggs & Riley Baseline Domestic Expandable Carry-on
I was first introduced to Briggs & Riley when I joined the Borromeo Quartet and needed a suitcase that was functional and could withstand the amount of travel that I do every year. Travel was so different back then! AND...this bag has stood the test of time. When they say lifetime warranty, they mean it. If anything goes wrong with the bag, you take it in to a certified repair center or mail it directly to them, they fix it or replace the bag entirely, and send it back. Normal turn around time has been 1 week. BOOM! I see a lot of these bags with the heavy travelers and love it in all ways. I tied a small piece of yellow wrapping fabric around my handle so I know it’s mine and others don’t think it’s theirs. Expensive, yes, but my single bag has lasted twenty years and over two million miles. Invest once in something you love.
Here’s what I love:
Simple rolling: Wheels are super speedy and easy to turn, the handle is very comfortable on my hands, and it expands to different sizes so it doesn’t keep hitting the back of my legs.
Expands: 25% more space! I can pack everything tight and light and then if I run into things I want to add as we travel I can.
Flat interior: The space you get is not taken up by the frame of the suitcase = more room and easier and faster packing
Clean design: It’s sleek, has enough pockets and not too many. I keep my car travel kit (magnet for phone so I can see it, power cord to plug into rental car, and socket power adapter) in one pocket that I only go in for that reason. The other outside pocket I use when going through security to throw my wallet, phone and pocket surprises into.
Strong: This thing has seen everything the airline can throw at it.
