Meditation is an absolute MUST for any toolkit and Headspace is the go-to app that I use with everyone as a starting place. Meditation, like everything else, is an extremely personal experience and we each have to put in the time exploring and creating the environment that works for us. I tell people to get creative and explore: Time of day, length, positions, places, topics.

I currently have a regular rhythm of meditating first thing in the morning for 10 minutes (after visiting the little boys room and turning on my salt lamp and NOT looking at my phone). I get back in bed and under the covers - a supposed no, no, but hey, it works for me. I set an alarm for 15 minutes in case I fall asleep (I never have...). My morning meditation gives me clarity, calm, centering and even though I can start with not wanting to do it, I always end up stronger, more focused and fun when I’m done. I explore different sessions/topics and go with what my mood is feeling like each morning or what I am inspired to challenge myself with. I’ve added a basic sleep meditation at night for 10 minutes that I have no idea how it endzzzzz. My sleep has been consistently deeper and more complete and I am working on making it my new habit.
